I’m John Martin.
I’m professionally a technologist who’s specialized in systems administration, architecture, and all the things that eventually became called DevOps,, SRE, and Platform Engineering. I’ve worked at SoftAware, Digital Island, Cable & Wireless, CarsDirect.com, Edmunds,com, New Context, CHEF Software, Dreamworks NOVA, SendGrid, Twilio, AuditBoard, and Sotheby’s. I’ve held positions up and down the individual contributor and people leadership ladder, moving to whatever I find floats my interests and skillset at the moment.
Personally I’m a musician, pop culture junky, and recently became a father. I have an infinite love for all things music, both as a consumer and a performer. I play guitar and sing in a band - Feral Fire - that I’ve played with for over a decade.
